Dr. Alex Padron completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. He completed his clinical rotations at Oregon State University. Following his graduation, he completed a one-year general rotating internship at Animal Specialty Group, Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Padron then went on to perform four years of advanced surgical training with an internship and residency at Virginia Veterinary Surgical Associates, Richmond VA.
He completed his surgical residency in 2016. During this time, Dr. Padron has had great exposure to all aspects of orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and neurologic surgery. In addition to loving all aspects of orthopedic surgery, Dr. Padron’s special interests include minimally invasive surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, laryngeal paralysis, and intervertebral disc disease.
A native of south Florida Dr. Padron loves spending his free time in the outdoors and on the water fishing the productive waters of Jupiter Fl and island hopping in the Bahamas. When not on the water or tending to the surgical needs of his four legged patients, Dr. Padron also enjoys cooking and eating out with his family and playing with his two crazy yellow labs Molly and Mahi.
