For Dr. Carmen Colitz, every day is a blessing and an opportunity to use her veterinary skills to improve the lives of animals. Dr. Colitz earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in Comparative and Experimental Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 1993 and 1996, respectively. Dr. Federico Latimer earnedhis undergraduate degreefrom Villanova University, and he then completed the first of two Master’s degrees at Penn State University. He earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1984, and a second Master’s Degree in 1984. He then entered private practice in Puerto Rico until 1987. [READ MORE]
Dr. Carpenter grew up in Greenville S.C and served 6 years in the U.S. Navy. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy he completed a Bachelors of Sciences in Biology and Chemistry at Charleston Southern University in 1996. Dr. Yang grew up in Houston, TX and completed both her undergraduate and professional studies at Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) in College Station, TX. After graduating with her DVM from Texas A&M in 2015, she completed an internship in small animal surgery and medicine at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with plans on returning to Texas afterwards. Dr. Jennifer Ayoub grew up in Massachusetts and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Framingham State College. She then left the cold northeast and moved to Louisiana where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University in 2008. [READ MORE]
Dr. Katz is a South Florida native who moved to Philadelphia, PA for school – completing both undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. He also spent time doing translational research with the Center for Resuscitation Science. Upon graduation from veterinary school, he completed a Rotating Internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. Dr. Bennett was born in Chile but grew up in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from Purdue University, and, is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. [READ MORE]
